Bulletin – 3rd Sunday of Easter

Dear Friends,

We continue our attempts to live as Easter people, walking in faith, because we don’t understand  “resurrection” any more than did Jesus’ first followers–all we know is that this phenomenon changed Jesus and it calls us to change as well in our lives.  Empowered in our faith journeys by the inspiration of Jesus’ Spirit; we are called to carry on his work, as he said, “feed and care for my sheep.”  May we be blessed each day in this task.

Come; celebrate this Easter time with us this week!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

P.S.Remember to save Sunday, July 24, 2016 for the Mary of Magdala Mass on the farm!

Readings:

  • Acts 5: 27-32, 40-41
  • Revelation 5: 11-14

Bulletin – 2nd Sunday of Easter

Dear Friends,

We continue to ponder the Resurrection this week and all that it means to and for us.  We also come to terms with what it signals in our lives–if we believe, “even though we have not seen,” than our belief challenges us to live as Jesus did, caring for those least among us.  Come; ponder the wonder with us, vowing to be Easter people, Alleluia!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

P.S. Save the Date: Sunday, July 24, 2016, Mary of Magdala Mass and picnic on the farm!

Readings:

  • Acts 5: 12-16
  • Revelation 1: 9-11, 12-13, 17-19
  • John 20: 19-31

Bulletin – Holy Week Services

Thursday, March 24, 2016

Holy Thursday Service–4:30 P.M.

Dear Friends,

Holy Thursday is a unforgettable night as we remember Jesus’ Last Supper with his friends and family.  It is high in significance as he shows them very clearly how they are to be in this world–servants-as he washes their feet.*

Jesus celebrates a final meal with his loved ones which becomes the institution of the Eucharist–a gift of love to those who would follow him–“Whenever you do this, do it in memory of me.”  “I will be with you always!”

* You will have the opportunity to have your feet washed at  this service if you wish.

Readings:

  • Exodus 12: 1-8
  • 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26
  • John 13: 1-15

Good Friday Service–4:30 P.M.

Friends,

This service tends to be a somber one as we remember, through the Scriptures how much our brother, Jesus has loved us. We pray for our Church, we venerate the cross, we receive communion.  Both  services are rich in symbolism and ritual. Come; remember with us.

  • Passion Reading–John: 18: 1–19: 42

Sunday–March 27, 2016

Easter Sunday Mass–10 A.M.

Amen! Alleluia! Jesus has risen! He is with us!  We are loved and are not alone! Come; celebrate with us!

Peace and love, Alleluia!

Pastor Kathy

Bulletin – Palm Sunday – Saturday Mass-4:30 P.M.

Dear Friends,

With this weekend and our 4:30 P.M. Mass on Saturday; we begin the holiest of weeks of our Church Year. It was during this week that our brother Jesus highlighted all of his teachings during his public life, referencing again all that was most important for his followers to know when he would no longer be with them, physically.

Our holy week schedule is a simple one: we will meet on Thursday for Holy Thursday liturgy and on Friday for Good Friday liturgy–both services will be held at 4:30 P.M.  Both services are rich in symbolism and meaning and hopefully, you can be with us.  On Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 10 A.M. we will celebrate the resurrection.

May holy week be a blessing for you and your family.  Alleluia!

Peace and love, Pastor Kathy

P.S.  We will be having a pot-luck soup supper after 4:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 19–if you haven’t yet signed up and would like to attend, please email me soon at aaorcc2008@ gmail.com.

Readings:

  • Isaiah 50: 4-7
  • Philippians 2: 5-11

Bulletin – 5th Sunday of Lent

Dear Friends,

We move ever closer to Easter, and as we do; there is the reminder from the prophet, Isaiah that our God is great! Paul, in his letter to the converts at Philippi uses the terminology of the race and that we are ever-moving toward the finish line and  fullness of life with our brother, Jesus.  The evangelist John helps us keep everything in perspective with Jesus’ words to the crowd trying to trap him, “Let the one without sin cast the first stone.”

Come; celebrate with the All Are One community this week! Robert and I will be away this next Sunday and Pastor Dick Dahl will be standing in.

Peace and love to all,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • Isaiah 43: 16-21
