Bulletin – 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

Mass is on Sunday at 10 A.M. this week.  Remember your groceries for the food shelf–last Sunday of the month!

We are called this week to consider who we truly are and to ask if we are honest about who we present to our world.  We are told that when we do this work of true self-revelation and act upon who we know ourselves to truly be, we in fact draw closer to God and to each other . And isn’t that what we inwardly want and what our world needs from each of us?

Come; celebrate with us this week!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Bulletin – 21st Weekend in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

This weekend is our Saturday Mass for August and it will be held at a special time–4:00 P.M.  instead of 4:30 P.M.   Pastor Dick Dahl will be presiding as Robert and I will be away.

We are challenged this week to see a very big picture–that together, all of us, make up the People of God–in other words, all are welcomed, all are loved.  In that regard, please remember in your prayers on Saturday, John Mizera and John Sutherland whose wedding I will be officiating!

Come; celebrate on Saturday at 4:00 P.M. the great love of our God.

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Bulletin – 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

We are called this week to consider what faith means to us.  Even though we don’t always possess the full understanding of life as it unfolds, we say, “We believe.” And just what is it, we might ask, that we believe?  Come; ponder these questions with us this week.

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • Wisdom 18: 6-9
  • Hebrews 11: 1-2, 8-19
  • Luke 12: 32-48

Bulletin – 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

This week we are called to consider what we hold dear in life, what we strive after–even what consumes us.  Qoheleth, the Wisdom writer claims that much “is futile.” Jesus warns that striving after more of this world’s goods is not the answer.

Come; let us ponder these questions together this week!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

P.S. A wonderful celebration of Mary of Magdala was enjoyed by approximately 25 people last Sunday–a Mass uplifting Mary and all women–recognizing them all for their God-given gifts, and followed by a scrumptious  pot-luck meal! Thanks to all who made it happen! Thanks to our good God for giving us a beautiful day to be outside!

Readings:

  • Ecclesiastes 1: 2; 2:21-23
  • Colossians 3: 1-5, 9-11
  • Luke 12: 13-21

Bulletin -Mary of Magdala Liturgy

Dear Friends,

This Sunday we will be celebrating in a special way, remembering a prophet, priest and evangelizer, Mary of Magdala. It will also be a special day to remember and uplift all women, accepting them for all their gifts and their God-given calls to service and ministry. You will notice that we will be using three Gospel texts as our readings to uplift the memory of Mary of Magdala and the other women who followed Jesus.

We will likewise celebrate in a special place–on the Redig Family Farm with an outdoor Mass and a potluck picnic to follow, weather permitting. Actually, the Mass and picnic will happen regardless of weather, so come rain or shine, but prayer for “shine!” (:

If you haven’t yet signed up, there is still time–just email me krredig@hbci.com.

Come; celebrate with us this week!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy
