We continue on our Advent journey to Jesus with this 2nd Sunday.  Isaiah lets us know who the “Root of Jesse” will be–one who is about justice for all.  Paul, in the 2nd reading from Romans and John the Baptist in Matthew’s gospel, continue this theme–John the Baptist saying quite simply–“Make all paths straight!”–let nothing get in your way on the pilgrimage to our brother, Jesus.
