Bulletin – 12th Weekend in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

We will meet on Saturday at 4:30 P.M. for our weekly liturgy. We are asked to reflect on who Jesus is for us–a big question whose answer determines really how our lives will be lived. We are told that we will have a cross to carry and we have to consider what that means for us.

Come; celebrate with us as we ponder the answers to these significant questions–together.

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • Zechariah 12: 10-11
  • Galatians 3: 26-29
  • Luke 9: 18-24

Bulletin – 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

This week we are gifted with three stories depicting the love and mercy of our God.  These stories are not intended for our enjoyment but each one comes with the expectation that we as Jesus’ followers will go out and do the same–share a love that as the psalmist says, “is finer than life!”

Come; be with us this week!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • 2 Samuel 12: 7-10, 13
  • Galatians 2: 16, 19-21
  • Luke 7: 36-50

10th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

We are back to Ordinary Time with this coming Sunday. This is a bit of a misnomer in that the challenge of the Scriptures during this “ordinary” time have not ceased.  This Sunday we witness the compassion of two prophets, Elijah and Jesus and their reactions to their world–compassion in both cases, to two widows.  What is our reaction to the world we experience each and every day?  Come; celebrate and pray with us this week.

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • 1 Kings 17: 17-24
  • Galatians 1: 11-19
  • Luke 7: 11-17

Bulletin – Corpus Christi Sunday

Dear Friends,

This week we are again challenged with a mystery that is probably best understood once again through our hearts, than through our heads–most matters concerning our loving God are, I would suggest.

The feast of Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ calls us to be Jesus’ body for the world, plain and simple–we must move from the altar to the community.

Come; ponder this mystery with us this week.

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • Genesis 14: 18-20
  • 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26
  • Luke 9: 11-17

Bulletin – Trinity Weekend Mass

Dear Friends,

This weekend, Mass is at 4:30  P.M. on Saturday. We are called to think, reflect and pray once again on the mystery of our great Creator God–one who loves in such a big way that the love spills over into another person, Jesus, our brother.  And if that isn’t enough, the love shared between the two, creates yet another person, the holy Spirit of God.  This is phenomenon, mystery and we can’t totally wrap our minds around it.  We can however understand such love through our hearts. Come on Saturday and let’s ponder the mystery and wonder together!

Peace and love,

Pastor Kathy

Readings:

  • Proverbs 8: 22-31
  • Romans 5: 1-5
  • John 16: 12-15

If you are attending Mass this weekend, let me know if you would be willing to do a reading. Thanks!
