Today’s liturgy calls us to “harden not your hearts.”  Jesus’ actions today with regard to the demon-possessed man were all about compassion for his suffering.  We, friends, are called to the same–our response must always be compassion for and action for those in need.

Bulletin – 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

Mass on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. 

Election for the Board is this Saturday.  Final call for any who would like to run for the board.  One position is open.  Kathy Krage has agreed to run for this position, but more are welcome to run.  The positions of Mary Ludwigson, Pauline Christensen and Nancy Miller are up this year.  Mary and Nancy have agreed to run again and Pauline said that she would step down, thus the one open position. 

Remember our food collection at each liturgy for the Winona Food Shelf.

There is an urgency this week encouraging us to live our ordinary lives extraordinarily well.  Come; be with us this week to help each other do that!

Bulletin – 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

Mass on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 10 A.M.

Remember our collection of canned goods for the Winona Volunteer Services food shelf.

Remember too that we are collecting warm hats, gloves, mittens and scarves for the Warming Center.  We will do this through January. 

Calling for anyone who would like to run in our church board election this month. We have one person running for the spot that is open, but if you are wishing to throw your hat in, let me know! We will have elections, Saturday, January 20 and Sunday January 28, 2018.

The Church Year calls us back from the crib  this week to Jesus’ mission among us–a reality check so to speak.  We would like to perhaps linger at the crib a while longer, but Jesus’ invitation this week to his first disciples and to us, is that we, “Come and see”  what he would like us to do.

Come; be with us this week as we reflect on how to answer Jesus’ invitation.

Bulletin – Feast of the Three Kings

Dear Friends,

Mass is on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 10 A.M.

Pastor Dick Dahl will be hosting another session of The Red Boot Way beginning Wednesday, January 17, 2018–at 10 A.M.  For questions, call Pastor Kathy, 507-429-3616.

We will be having the election for three board members in January–think and pray about whether God may be calling you to this ministry. 

Our clarion call today is to “arise and shine”–to bring light to all the dark places.  The feast of the Three Kings, or Epiphany is all about manifesting the presence of God, here and now! This day marks the official end to the Christmas Season, but let us remember to carry the Christmas spirit with us throughout the year!

Come; join us this Sunday to praise and thank our God for all that is good in our lives.

Bulletin – Holy Family Sunday

Dear Friends,

Mass on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 10 A.M.

Bring your non-perishable food items for the Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf. 

This Sunday, which remembers, the “Holy Family,” is really about all families and our call to be “holy.”  The original “holy family” shows us the way: we must be people of faith, love, patience, kindness and gentleness and if we practice these virtues, our families and the larger family of the world, will be greater for it.

Come; celebrate with us on the last Sunday of the Church Year!
